I usually get 60+ FPS on Diablo 3 and recently I'm getting 10-15 FPS. I don't know what's wrong. I haven't installed anything since all this started. I am confused and need help asap because I'm a noob when it comes to PC issues.

I play on Diablo 3 on the lowest settings too. I only play Diablo 3 atm so I have no games installed on my PC yet so I can't test other games unfortunately. D:

My laptop specs

MSI
i7-4800MQ 2.70Ghz
16GB RAM
GTX 770M
Samsung EVO 256GB
Windows 8

Really appreciate the help. I am bored shitless now. I haven't played any games for the last couple of days waaaaaaw :'(

What is the exact model number off the MSI laptop?

With the specs your showing, it should kick butt gaming!

I am wondering if your using a power saving mode that disables the GTX 770 and runs on a lower on-board video processor.

MSI GT60 2OC-024US.

Exactly. Couple months ago I was playing BF4 on high settings but I have uninstalled the game because It wasn't my type of game. Anyway I do use the high power setting option so I think the GTX 770 is enabled.

I really don't know what's wrong. waaaaaaw :'(

You could try uninstalling/reinstalling the video drivers for the GTX; if this is the same laptop that got dropped while on and the hard drive became unseated (last week?), one or more driver files might have gotten borked.

Or the game settings file for Diablo 3 got borked.

Yep it's not same laptop alright. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers but no luck.

Yes they is a good chance it's overheating because the side is quite hot when I play Diablo 3. How would I know and how do I fix this?

To alleviate heat issues, only play on a hard surface with plenty of laptop "breathing room". I would also recommend a laptop cooling unit w/two or more fans; good ones can be had for $15 - $30 and will make a significant difference in heat dissipation.

from the specs i'd chance the laptop is still under warranty. bring it in and let them sort it out.

You might try blowing a small box fan directly on the laptop to see if that improves performance. If you are having overheating issues, while not a great solution, that will cool it more effectively than one of the cooling pads.

If it got damaged when dropped, it is kind of strange that it would still work but with slow performance. Maybe the cpu or gpu heat sink is no longer making proper contact, or the gpu was damaged/dislodged and it is running on the igp.

You might have to go into the GPU drivers to specify that the game uses the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one. It may have been set up correctly before and somehow gotten reverted to the wrong setting.

Try installing MSI afterburner and enabling the onscreen monitor so you can see what GPU is being used and what usage/temp it is showing in game. The newer versions can monitor CPU usage/temp as well.

Yes I am getting a cooling pad for sure. However I keep getting this error when I checkout from Newegg http://gyazo.com/176aacaae7bf25d60e65c90cbb9df1f0
Can someone else test it? I think I'm the only one getting this error :(

This just worked for me here on my side of The Pond. Not sure if it will on yours or not.

Hold on, just noticed country field on Newegg page and switched to UK and this opened immediately:

Edit: look at the top just under the Newegg logo on the left: country field with drop down menu. Third entry is UK.

Is it consistently only 10-15fps or just drops down to that when stuff is going on? I'd recommend downloading MSI Afterburning and using the in-game OSD option so you can see how hard the GPU is working.
