Help: IE6 is acting weird

Never had a problem with IE6 but now it wont resolve domain names unless I hit refresh many many times, then it eventually will. My DNS and internet connection is just fine. This problem immediately happened after I accidently entered a lot of mangled characters into the address bar. Rebooted, deleted cache, history, seems to make no difference. Netscape resolves perfectly just fine, as does any other ap that doesn't use IE. Help, this sucks having to hit refresh so many times just to go to a site.
