Hi guys,

I have a monitor with a built in computer. The advertising board display type things.

I want to know what type of video output it is using as I want to use something other than a computer attached to the monitor.

The motherboard has a model number of mb899h which brings this up: http://www.ibase.com.tw/mb899.htm although there is no HDMI output on the board, just vga but I don't know what the add on card is doing

I have attached pictures to show the wiring and hopefully it will make things clearer.

I can get more details from the bios if needed.

Any help will be great! Thanks

Yep. LVDS. I'm sure the chipset supports at least VGA and DVI output as well, but since it's a specific task-built machine, I highly doubt they'd bother including the physical ports, both for space savings and obviously cost, since they had no intent on using them.

You're not going to find too many options for LVDS as it's designed for those types of marketing/interface/POS type units.

Can you recommend a certain one as from looking around they seem to vary and not sure what would be considered decent. Also, does it matter on the screen size or will it automatically adjust?

Thanks
