while out on a computer salvage tour (;)) I found three pentiums and a 486 (yeah, I know, slow crap, but they may come in handy). Anyways, I don't have a mobo to test these out on, so is there any way to tell their speed from the writing on them? I can guess their relative speeds (486 is prolly ~75Mhz)

I can't take pictures so here is what they say:

first pentium:
A80502120 SY033
ICOMP INDEX=1000
L6340839-0746
Intel(m)(c)'92'93

second pentium:
A80502100 SX970
ICOMP INDEX=815
L5483609-0641
INTEL(m)(c)'92'93

third pentium:
-this was hard to read, I can't make out the top line, not most of the second, but the third and fourth are good... I'm gonna take a guess at the first two lines so here is what it is:
A80502133 SY022
ICOMP(some symbol) 2 #=111

86510013-0112
Intel(m)(c)'92'93

the 486:
A80486SX-33
L3360085
SX680
INTEL(m)(c)1989

Thanks in advance,

Your first Pentium is 120mhz, your second is 100mhz, and the third is 133mhz.

Info for the Pentiums can be found here. Just look up the respective sSpec numbers (SY033, SX970, SY022).

As for the 486... It's a 33mhz 486-SX.

Hope that helped. :)
