Hello,
I need some help identifying the right cable for my needs. I am building a MAME cabinet and want some USB type A headers to be flush with the cabinet to plug extra controllers into. Ideally I would use something like this http://www.datapro.net/products/usb-dual-horizontal-plate.html but that is just a bare panel with no connectors and the mount cables that I could find are pretty expensive.
I came across this usb wall panel ebay listing- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Type-USB-Po...966?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2f68e0c6
What I can't figure out is what kind of cable attaches to the back of that connector. It looks like it's just the 4 "blades" from the type A connector, but without anything else. I need a cable that will attach to the back of that wall panel, and end in either a regular USB type A or a motherboard USB header. Will I need to solder my own cable onto that panel?
The other challenge is that most USB motherboard cables are only 12 inches or so- I would want one that's about 2 feet.
Thanks for reading,
Matt
