Help, i went from DX7 to DX8.1 for Win2000 and my games are all glitchy

I downloaded the Demo Army Men RTS and i needed DX8.0 and i had DX7 so i downloaded 8.1 off the Microsoft website for Win2000. Whe ni loaded the game up the screen kept blinking and it was very glitchy hardly playable. Then i loaded up my game DarkReign2 and DX8.1 made that glitchy also. So i downloaded the latest drivers for my Geforce2 GTS and same thing, i tried reinstalled dx and same thing. Everything works fine for UT though, its only on my other game DarkReign2 and the demo i downloaded ARMY MEN RTS. Can someone help me plz. thanks.
 
And your BIOS too, while you're at it.

Also did you uninstall your old video card drivers before you installed the new ones?
 
I got a Sound Blaster Live! Value, i dont think i'll find new drivers for that
also have an Athlon classic 750mhz and a Creative Live Geforce 2 GTS
My Mobo i think is an Abit-K7-100 or sumthing like that

How do i know if i downloaded the 4in1 ? I remember downloading it for my other 2 computers but not sure if i downloaded in this one.

I'll try uninstalling old video drivers before installing the new ones.
