If the fan stopped working while the system was in operation, its likely the card overheated. How quickly did you power it down? Did it freeze, or artifact in Windows?

There is a good bet you will be making a phone call to get an RMA, if the new cooler didn't violate your warranty.

I rebooted once, then after the reboot, it just never went back on. The card was running @ stock speeds. thing is i bought it oem from other forum so i cant do RMA. Ill just sell it cheap and just get an X800XL. this sucks that i have had to go through three cards and all of them fail. :(

well i just put on an antec 120mm fan blowing towards it. temps are at 56is/48ish, what an improvement compared to it without a fan. dang it, i hate it when this happens to me :(

ouch!! well windows all of sudden shuts down when the card hit like 114C so its weird that you could go to 120C. but see my card does not seem to be giving any power to the fan connector and thus doesnt work. I just had to buy an X800XL. this will hold me till the R520s come out, IF theyre any better than the G7 series.

Dude I had to do it, I wanted to make sure that it was not the Fan that had died but unfortunately it was just the card. And yes i do OC but only my cpu, which in fact im happy with. well I didnt exactly #$%^ed up the vid card. it just happened all of a sudden and besides if some one is sure to make use of such video card, id say sell it to him. theres no harm as long as they know that the product they buy is already defective.

So the card works with the fan blowing on it?

I see no issue with that, a dead fan connector wouldnt stop me from buying, especially if it was cheap.

well really the only problem is buying off OEM and not a retail part , otherwise it's fairly simple rma.

good luck.
