Ok, just last night I started getting a Windows Explorer error box, and my active desktop would change to a white background, and I could not restore it. It would also lock-up and I would have to reset to re-boot my computer, but the problem would not go away.
The most troubling thing though was the fact that at least twice durring boot up, durring the bios screen memory count and hardisk detection, my hardrives were not recognized, and then of course I would get system disk errors. My bios information has not been lost or corrupted i.e. my motherboard settings, and my drives show up in the main setup screen, but cannot be recognized in the drive auto detect screen. One thing however, my DVD is recognized durring boot-up as it is the secondary master. I have not tried it yet, but i'm thinking maybe I lost my Primary/Primary Slave IDE channel, and I might just re-cable my drives to the secondary to see what happens.
What do you think?

I'll have to check the hardrive led i guess to see if its going, I can still check the voltages in the bios hardware monitoring to see if its up to spec, and i'll try changing over to a single drive on the secondary IDE channel to see if that will work. The board is about 2years old and the whole thing has taken to upgrades and overclocking very nicely untill now. Thanks for the comeback:)
