I'm running a AMD Athlon 850 on an Asus A7V mobo. I'm still not sure what happened here. When I booted, nothing appeared on the screen. The motherboard didn't beep. Nothing appeared on the screen. When connected to a power source, this motherboard normally does a self-diagnosis. This time however, the self-diagnosis is shorter. No overclocking was beign done.

Somebody help me!

Reseat the CPU, RAM and Video. Don't connect anything else to it. If it is in a case, make sure the standoffs aren't shorting the board.

Sounds like a PSU problem ... remeber for reliability at least 300Watts PSU.

Just watch your electric bill ;)

Well, the system was running through a 300w psu, and power did go through it and into the mobo (the green led between the pci slots lights up). I've tried a different video card, and no go.

Fortunately, my reseller is now analyzing everything and almost certainly will replace the cpu, cooler and maybe even the mobo. And if I'm lucky, I might get a 900mhz processor :).
