For somebody that has no idea that's a pretty good setup, EXCEPT I would swap out the motherboard which has an ALi chipset for one with the AMD 760 chipset, I think the model is the Asus A7M266, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, what is the primary use(s)for the system?

yea it is the a7m. either that or look into the epox one everybody likes. i got the a7m before hearing about the epox and i'm always left wondering...

how much are you paying for this? crucial has good ram (micron subdivision) for cheap (256 for 40 hucks).

Leadtek Winfast Geforce 2 Pro 32MB DDR with TV/out

be aware this is 5.5 ns ddr ram, slower than most other geforce 2 pros out there. i got this card not knowing that and i always wonder what i'm missing. probably not much, but just be aware... and despite what people may try to tell you (because of the 5.5), it is a real geforce 2 pro. just different ram.... good price though.

Sony 52X CDROM Drive OEM

no dvd?

depending on how much you're willing to spend, i'd recommend the lian li pc-60. it's aluminum so it's good at cooling and it's a really easy case to build your own computer with. everything slides in and out really easily, thumb screws, the works. and it has a bunch of fans. you'll need to get a 300-350 watt power supply though. also... no cd burner? don't forget a floppy drive either. and get some artic silver ii thermal paste. are you going to be overclocking? if not, then you don't need much else.
