HELP. I need someone with an eprom programmer

Hi there

I recently bought an eprom burner at frys because i need to copy a 27c512 chip. well after multible attemps i gave up because both units i tried were flaky.

basicly i was able to read the original chip but programming the new one would fail every single time.

does anybody have an eprom burner and would be able to help me out??? i have the orignal chip's info in a file on a floppy and i have some blank 27c512.

are you programming the ecus from honda?

I bought a eprom burner from frys, but that unit sucked like *&(*&)( and returned it. I ended up using one at my engineering lab and it programmed my eproms fine.

whats an ecus? and btw blah i scrapped the whole home networking idea in the end, thnx for the help tho.

its actually an eprom from my ecu in my mitsubishi eclipse

Did you set the programming bits correctly? And the code protection, fuses, etc etc. Which software are you using to program the chip? Some require you to select programmer, or customize your own settings to tailor each programmer. How about using a different software for that programmer?
