Help: I need some Archos Info!

I've been looking pretty intently at the archos jukebox series and I'm almost ready to buy one.

I just need a liiiittlle more info.

Does the Archos FM recorder's interface differ any from the original archos recorder?

Anyone try putting Rockbox on an FM recorder?

Do they play .wav files?

If anyone owns both, whats the weight difference between the recorder and the FM recorder?

Before u buy it try to see it and use it in person....I bought the jukebox 10 gig, and i think im gonna sell it on ebay, like the buttons are such crap their all wobbly...seems like a ricer engeneering student designed the thing. I would suggest ipod or creative nomad if u got the cash..

I agree. I have their jukebox 20 gigger, and I'm not really happy with it, although I've had it over a year and it still works fine. It is nice to have an external drive to use for backing up stuff. I wish it was firewire or usb 2.0 though.

heh, I just went out and bought a FM recorder. Lets see if it pans out for me.

Jemcam, I do believe the jukebox 20 IS usb 2.0, it just doesn't come with 2.0 cable.

Definitely try it out first. My friend have the Rio Riot 20GB , and that thing is like a damn brick!!! Its ugly, the buttons suck and who ever did the exterior shell needs to be shot! BTW, did I mention its ugly?
