I was on my way home for a computer show and I picked up Netgear 10-port switch out of some ones trash  anyway It "looks" fine but it didn't have an adapter with it and I"m afraid to test it. It has a plug/socket like the one's found on monitor, power suplies, etc, but being I own smaller switches they come with ( what I call power reducers- I believe to protect the units from blowing. I need to know if some-one has a SW510-or-SW518 (since they seem to share the same manual on Netgear website) and tell me if it's a staight connection (like a monitor power cord or is there a "reducer" or something on the line" if it does have a special connection maybe I could get an adapter at radio shack or such. thanks :)

pochrist,

It has an internal power supply adapter. Use the same power cord you would for a computer or monitor; you'll be fine.
