Help...I just thought I setup a network...

I just installed cards in two computers (linksys in one and kingston in the other). I ran Hitachi CAT5E to both. Ran Homenetworking wizard in winme and setup all drives on both computers to be shared. Both computers have distinct names(playroom, primary) but the same network name (workgroup). Now what? They don't see each other and I'm stuck.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

Can they ping each other? Did you connect them via a crossover cable or did you just use a straight through? Do you have file sharing enabled?

Are you getting link lights on both cards? Link lights on the hub/switch?

How are the NICs addressed?

Gotta know

Here is what I have...

Computer 1- Primary on Workgroup. LinksysLNE100TX with both lights on (100 and ACT). Coming out of it is a Crossover cable to a wall jack that is straight wired to another wall jack. I have told every drive to be shared with full access and no password.
Computer 2 - Playroom on Workgroup. Kingston KNETX with three of four lights on (Link/100/FDX) (Act is not on). Coming out of it is a straight cable to a wall jack.

I don't know if they can ping each other...how do I check?
