Help. I have to pass a 'test' in order to get this job...

It is partly a personality test and also has algebra and logic questions I believe. It's an IT help desk position I am trying to get with a large company. Is this type of test common? Any info would be appreciated!

do it truthfully. if you think about it too hard you will fail.

Most are long, and ask the same question a few times but with different wording. If you answer each differently, you fail.

Tests are common, but algegra tests for a helpdesk position? That seems odd. Is it a helpdesk position in a software company that sells math software or something?

I had to take one earlier this year. It was for IBM when I applied for an internship there. I also took another one when I was a freshman in college for another IT internship. So, I guess it is pretty common.

nightowl, was it just a personality test or was it also an IQ test? Apparently, the test I will have to take will have logic questions as well.
