Help I have to boot my computer multiple times to get it into windows

My computer is driving me crazy. Almost every time I boot up it freezes on the screen that shows the A8N-SLI, sometimes it doesn't even turn the monitor on. I have to keep turning it off and on sometimes 10-20 times then it will finally boot all the way in to windows, then it runs fine as long as I don't try to restart. What do you think its problem is? I am not over clocked at all, nothing is set out of default.

Asus A8N-SLI the first one that came out
A64 3200
Kingston Hyper X Memory 1GB
(2) BFG 6600gt's, bought them during the video card shortage, never changed
160GB serial ATA
500 watt PSU

I can get into the bios if I hit the button in the first few seconds of the Asus screen coming on. If I wait more than that then it is frozen on that screen and I can do nothing. Could the bios be it? What bios is the best now for the original A8N-SLI?

i just went from 1010 to 1015 last week.....but then had problem with excessively long start up times with windows xp MCE.. so I dropped down to 1014.. which most people seem happy with..

make sure you're using the EZPlug as well... and you may want to try posting with just the one video card to see if that changes your luck..
