It turns out the mobo I got has only one IDE connector :

It also has a bunch of SATAs - But my HDs aren't SATA - since they are from my old system, and I also need to connect my DVD drive which needs an IDE.

I wish I did my research - but either way, I want to know my options w/o getting a new mobo:

1) Get a new SATA HD (but can I still get the stuff off my old HD?)
2) Is there any connector device to connect IDE Cable to SATA?
3) Are there SATA DVD drives - to plug into the SATA connectors, so I can keep my HDs?

Please help.

I'm not using all my PCI slots. So you're saying that with the peripheral you mentioned, I connect that into my PCI slot, which has and IDE connector interface, basically giving me an additional IDE slot?

If thats the case - thats sooo cool!

Those were two different solutions I mentioned.

I didn't link to a product that does the first solution I mentioned. Here's an example of a controller card that would plug into a PCI slot and give you a couple more IDE channels.

You could get one of those OR

The second option I mentioned before turns your IDE device into a SATA device and you can use one of your SATA connections to use it.
