HELP: I got a ticket, odd happenings -- Need LAW help, any lawyers/law students?

In Houston, this is true.


And like others, I would just defend myself and show the judge the ticket you recieved. Do not mention the seatbelt unless he asks then explain exactly what happened.

You know, you could always ask for a jury trial. You could still represent yourself but it would probably be too much of a hassle, so go with the first option.

I don't know if any lawyer would take this case. Not to be insulting, but it seems that your case isn't that strong, the incident was relatively minor, and hiring an attorney is going to cost you way more than that ticket.

went to court, the DA immediately dismissed the seatbelt charge, payed 60 for the stop sign :)
