help!! i fried my coppermine!!

my motherboard defaulted to 2.0 volts when i needed 1.5!! is this covered under intel's warranty? what should i do?

Yeah, how would they know anyways?

I would try some trial and error, and double check everything to see if the chip is really fried though, unless of course you see physical damage that you can't question.

And set the mobo back to 1.5.
Then call and act:"No, I really don't know why...."

Coppermine PIII default is 1.65v.

I hope this is a retail CPU. If it is OEM, you're probably out of luck.
