dude am i blind or dumb...? i dont see no pictures. i think i might be in the same boat but i cant see no pics so....

Are you copy the link from other place? It already modified by system as a shorter link. :(

Heatsink can always be remove with much care. Look around the heatsink and mobo (front & back) to figure out a good remove solution.

That sounds like the stock HSF, and that's gotta be the easiest thing to remove. Unclip the beige levers, then twist it gently from side to side until it breaks loose from the heatsink paste -- or in case of the stock HSF -- "wax".
