have you tried clicking the box that says don't show me this again?

Windows 7 uses Aero by default to make your desktop look good, but it takes resources. If a game starts using enough of your system memory windows will reduce your desktop color scheme to basic automatically. Usually it won't affect your game though and you wont even see the message until after you're done playing.

I have ticked the box but same thing coming up :(

It's fairly common, and it doesn't mean anything is wrong with your computer, but if it's kicking you out of game then that is a problem. To prevent that, right-click BF3.exe and under Compatibility tab, check Disable desktop composition and click OK. Now it will switch as soon as you start the game, and switch back when you quit, but never mid-game.
