Help! I can't open anything in Win2K w/ shortcuts on my desktop!

Gives me error: Cannot find file or components. Make sure pathname and file are correct and all required libraries are available.

But I can open things up with the actual file, eg. if I double click on a .doc file, word opens up although the link to word by itself won't. Open with works too. Can someone help me? TIA.
