What is your username? Are you trying to connect through AOL? Did you update your e-mail address (perhaps used an invalid one?).

My username is Daica and I have been registered to the forums since June 2000. I am not using aol as my isp. The email address the account is under is with attbi but now I am with cox. I havent been able to login since I had att so i dont think cox is the problem.

thanks for the replies

This might be stupid question, but how do i find out who is a mod here? Usually before you enter a certain category in another forum they advertise who is mod there.

Send a PM to AnandTech Moderator for help. Tell them that your email address is under attbi and needs to be changed to your new cox email. That should solve your problem. Be sure to include your new email address in the PM.

Its cool to be able to PM a Moderator on a problem like this, but it troubles me that one has to create a new user account to do it. That just creates more problems doesnt it?

Especially if the member racks up a post count while using the new name. It also adds to the total number of members and creates new names which are not necessary.

While this is true while the two accounts are active, the mods can and have deleted entire accounts (personal experience). So I do not think your statement is entirely accurate.

Very true. I know many active accounts have been deleted, but there is very little that can be done about it. AT has many users IDs and the mods do a great job keeping track/deleting double accounts.:)
