I have a ECS K7VZA v3.0 motherboard and an IBM 40.0Gb 7200 RPM hard drive. My problem is that WinXP can't recognize that it's a UDMA/100 drive, it recognizes it only as a Mulitiword DMA Mode 2 drive, which is the same thing that my CDRW is recognized as. Is there a trick or something I need to do to get this drive properly setup? Thanks.

You can change that in Device Manager under the IDE ATA.......settings. You can change the primary and secondary IDE connections.
