I just built a new system and iI can't get Win2k to load.

Specs.
T/Bird 1200/266
Iwill KK266
512Mb Crucial
Gainward GF GTS Pro/450
IBM Deskstar 40 GB/Primary/Master
16x Toshiba DVD Primary/Slave
16x10x40 Plextor Secondary/Primary
Sony Floppy
Linksys NIC

Here is what happens.

Push button and everything is great the system posts and comes down to the bottom of the start-up screen and reads "boot cd" boot cd". So I figure to put the Win2k disc in the cd and it spins up but nothing. I try the other Win2k disc and still nothing. I try both drives still nothing. So I go into the BIOS and change the first boot device to CD from Floppy aha I figure thats the problem NOT! Still nothing.

I know it's something simple but what?

Thanks in advance,

Frustrated

You shouldn't slave the DVD to the harddrive- slave it to the burner until you get an add in controller. Do you have a win98 cd to try to boot from? Put the boot CD in the secondary master device.
