Well, here's the situtation. I paid someone with Paypal and they never sent the goods. I filed a complaint with Paypal. I waited a month and they e-mailed saying they determined it was the seller's fault but said there was nothing they could do since he has $0 in his account.

Alright, is there anything I can do now? I know his home address, phone number, email address and everything. Is there anything I can do short of knocking on his door and demanding the money? He's been pretty worthless in the e-mails he's replied with...

You could take him to small claims court, or Judge Judy. :)

Contact paypal again, by phone if possible, and piss in their ear until they come up with a better answer than the one they have already given you.

Go to www.trollhunters.com Good info there, and you'll find the "bad trader list" to which you can add him (unless it was an ebay or similar transaction, the BTL is mostly computer stuff)

I can't believe some of the stuff I hear about paypal. It is turning into, hands down, the easiest way to get ripped off in a trade. And paypal doesn't care. They got their fee, they're happy.

I bought it on Ebay--$430 worth. And of course, I've already contacted Ebay and have not gotten a response from them.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? What did you do and did it ever get resolved in your favor?

I fail to see how this is Paypal's problem.

Did you use a credit card to make payment? If so, charge back.

Ebay has buyer's protection insurance that can help.

if he doesnt live to far away from you, u should file a police report with his local station and both of you and all three of u should work it out. printout ur records such as the ebay auction/emails/monder order receipts etc just in case this guy wants to take you to court or somethin

Well I also fail to see how it's Paypal's problem...it's obviously mine alone otherwise they would care more :(

I didn't use a credit card...just money I already had in there. Also, Ebay's buyer protection insurance has proven to be worthless so far. They haven't even responded in the months since I sent them a complaint.
