so, awhile back, i got an audigy from some fellow. it just so happened that the audigy installation cd was cracked, literally. anyone who has an audigy, knows that the only way to install the software for it is to have the cd. you cannot just download the stuff from the creative site (which, IMO, is gay-as-hell). anyhow, i decided, since i could still use the cracked cd to install the sucker, i'd make a copy of it, 'just in case'. well, recently i've had to reinstall my system and once it came time to install the audigy, loe-and-behold, my burned copy, of my cracked cd was gone. GASP!
hmm, well, okay, i'll just install with the cracked cd. i tried that and a couple of error messages popped up, so i figure, 'eh, i'll reinstall (windows - i like everything to be squeaky-clean), and whilst i do that, i'll make a copy on my roomy's computer'. well, after 3 unsuccessful attempts at tryin to burn the disk, i decide to try burning it on my computer, which is now back up and waiting for the installation cd again. so, i try doing a direct burn, and nothing. so i decide, well, maybe i'll copy to the hard drive 1st and then burn the iso to disc. yah, that'll work. so i pop the disc in and get ready to burn when i see that nero wants to burn at 52x. whoa! no way friend! (i've never liked how loud and vibratey the burner can get) so i decide to burn at 16x. i press the 'burn' button and vrrrrrrrmmmmmm it's whirrling away and as i go to sit down for an episode of 'that 70's show' i hear, 'vrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM BOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!! HOLY SH!T!!! (ducks for cover)!
so, suffice it to say, my audigy installation blew itself into a fifty little pieces, and took with it my lite-on burner.
so, i was wondering a couple of things. . .
what should i get as a replacement to my lite-on. . .
and can anyone give me an iso of the the audigy cd
