Help! I can't decide on what to get.

I'm trying to decide on whether I should get a minidisc player or a cd player. I'm trying to decide between these two:
CD Walkman (SONY) or
MiniDisc Walkman

Please tell me which one you would get and why.

I would get the CD Walkman, just because the CD is the be-all end-all of formats right now. I really don't see any use for mini-disc, or any advantages it may have over CDs.

I would also choose the CD Walkman. The Minidisk just hasn't caught on like Sony would've liked, and if it hasn't done so so far I don't think it will.

I would get a CD Burner and CD Walkman combo right now over Mini-Disc. I tried MD a couple years ago, only to discover that blank media cost nearly what a CD album cost! I figured it was cheaper to just get a CD walkman and buy second copies of albums than to buy MDs to record my albums onto.

The walkmans that play MP3's have a bit of work to do. I am on my third Genica/tor something or other and the thing is a piece o crap!

before you decide check out www.minidisc.com you can learn alot about minidiscing, hopefully , it seems you need alot of cables and stuff, but if you order before dec 17th you can get 3 free discs

there discs get at most 3 bux each, players are pricey, but i've gotten stuff from them, out of stock, stuff that might usually take days to get, but i got it quick from them, i say check with MINIDISCOFor all your minidisc needs, excelent service!!

Can minidiscs play mp3s? If not, then what is so special about minidiscs.
