I have two W2K pro computers networked with D-Link NIC's and a D-Link switch. My host computer(#1) hooks to the net via a USR 56K modem. I cannot access the internet thru my browser on my non-modem client(#2). I could access the net before when my client(#2) had Win98. But since I installed W2K pro on it, I've had no such luck. I've tested the connections with PING and IPCONFIG and all looks good there, so I know the two computers are talking to some extent. I have a network printer also installed on my client(#2) which works fine when printing from either computer. Any tips?
Also, any suggestions on a comprehensive read on installing and configuring W2K Pro and Server? I have the MCSE W2K Pro training kit from MS Press and quite frankly, I find it lacking. There simply isn't enough detailed information on network installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
