Help - Hund's rule?

Well, I was sick and missed chemistry (woulda missed a lot more, but we had sophomore awareness, and chem is a junior class -- nerdy me 😉). Anyways, I checked the webpage (my chem teacher is the worst webmaster in the world, the webpage looks like total crap, but at least everything is on there so whatever) and I have a test tomorrow--damn!t.

We are doing quantum mechanics. The only thing I missed that wasn't online is Hund's rule. Anyone wanna explain it to me so I don't fail tomorrow? 😀

Would ask a friend for sum notes, but kinda too late for that now...

Hunds rule in a nutshell:

filling in electrons in molecular orbitals with the same energy in a way that they aren't paired yet are still parallel in spin to each other.

so with 3 electrons in the 2p molecular orbitals, there would be one electron in each 2Px, 2Py, and 2Pz and they would all either be spin up or spin down. it would NOT be any other way such as pairing. pairing only occurs for 4-6 electrons.
