HELP!! How to stop XP from installing.....

it's native drivers for the ATI AIW Radeon 7500. I'm trying to upgrade to the new Catalyst 3.0 drivers, but WinXP is refusing to let me. I uninstall the drivers, then reboot....after reboot, XP installs it's own drivers and I can't figure out how to stop it!!!!???? If I try to install the new drivers over the WinXP drivers, it doesn't work.

Maybe you should look down the page to the thread titled "How do I stop WinXP from automatically installing drivers?"

That thread doesn't help me at all!!! When I reboot, NO wizard comes up. XP just automatically installs the drivers for my ATI card.

Did you rename the drivers that XP is trying to load before rebooting? The gist of the trick is to fool XP into thinking that it doesn't have native drivers for the card, prompting the wizard.
