Hello, I just finished up building my first PC, and Im going to install Windows, and for some reason, it wont recognize the drive, which drivers from my Floppy disk that came with my Abit AV8, do I install for it to work?

Read the manual for your mobo. It should have a section on how to install a sata drive.

if you still can't figure out which drivers to install when installing windows, try one and if that doesn't work, try another. Or just install all of them 😉.

yep - its kinda misleading, its really the SATA either regular or RAID "drivers"
There is also a RAID "Utility" for actually setting up a RAID array - which you do not need now.
You also have to enable SATA in the bios, and set boot order appropriately.
And press F6 when XP install prompts for SCSI drivers - thats your SATA stuff
XP will then search the floppy and copy over the VIA 8237 "SATA RAID drivers"
