I'm trying to install Red Alert on a computer running Windows 2000. It comes up with a message saying that it requires Win95 to install. Does anyone have any patches or something that will allow Red Alert to install on Win2k computer? Thanks!

I'll also listen in on this, as I'm in a similar situation - only I've got WinXP. I used the compatibility options, which allowed me to at least install it, but it crashed, citing some kernel32 error; I'm guessing that Red Alert needs to interface with a Win9x kernel to function.

I did this about 2-3 months ago (office PC) The way I rember doing it is.

copy setup icon from cd to to desktop---right click on desktop shortcut---run setup in compatibility mode---install--create shortcut of installed exe---run game in compatibility mode.

sorry cant remember which mode I used 95 or 98.

edit: I run it in windows 95 compatibility mode. In W2K, I may have installed it in 95 mode as well.
