Just check the pricematch.com, look like I can save several dollars by placing order there, and be sure it with TV-out.
By the way, what is the difference between voodoo 3000 and 5000?

you can save money on birddogs system by doing the following: duron 600 w/ slot A motherboard will cost less than pIII setup, about $250. and u can get a good 17" monitor for <$220. a 5400rpm hard drive will save you 20% over a 7200rpm. dont get a cdrom drive if you plan on getting a cdrw or dvd drive. hrmmm 128megs of pc100 will cost $100 and get the best speakers u can find for $50. i'd stay away from the geforce gts and go with a less expensive tnt2 for ~70 or a geforce mx for $120 (not quite available yet though).

My main system is running on a Asus P3V4X. Probably the best overclocking motherboard out there. It is worht the extra few $$$$ over the P3V133.

If you go with the P3V4X, its a slot 1 Mobo, so you'll either need a slot one P3 or a flip-chip & a slotkit. I'd go with the flipchip, since all the future motherboards are boing away form the slot 1 (you can acapt a flipchip in a slot 1 but not the other way around). Iwill, Asus both make good slotkits.

Checkout pricewatch.com & googlegear.com for prices, you can do better. Googlegear has a retail 650e for $204.

Well, to answer your questions, the second motherboard is definitely better, but only if you need really good graphics. As in REALLY good graphics, the kind only a 3D gamer needs. Basically, the difference is in the speed of the AGP, the slot where you put your videocard. Faster is better, but not always necessary. Asus is a great mobo manufacturer, you've made some great choices with them.
Sony makes some great CD-ROM products, hoiwever I would be more comfortable with something from Kenwood, Toshiba, or TDK. It's really personal preference.
I personally would go with an Nvidia video card, like a TNT2 or GeForce 2 MX, the cheap one. It's about $120. Your soundcard is perfect. The speaker choice depends on your preference, with a budget box, Labtec LCS-2514 would be the best choice. They run about $50, you can get them at Fry's or similar places.
I think the most glaring thing about the site is the case choices. The power supply should be at least 300W. You could probably just buy an ATX case separately, some recommendations for your price range are Inwin, Enlight, and Fong Kai.

You seem to have found a very good site for buying your stuff, at very cost-effective prices. Congratulations on choosing a custom system, we're here to help if you have questions. Good luck!!!
