help. How do I take a good picture of the laptop screen?

I don't know if it because of the flash or the light, they come very bad. the pics are either dark or too bright.

help please.

I know that the #1 rule for taking a detailed picture of anything that produces its own light is to turn off the flash and use a tripod if you have one available.

If you don't have a tripod, you could try setting the camera on a stack of books to keep it steady.

You can also buy a mini table top tripod, which would be perfect for what you're trying to do right now, for about $13 at Target. Full-size tripods start at around $30 or so, but I'm not sure about the quality of such a low-end unit.

I am using a POS camera and now looking at the manual to turn off the flash and do other things you guys suggested.
