HELP: How do I stream video from WME to the internet for videoconferencing??

I am pretty sure this will be easy for my fellow expert ATers 😉

I want to use a Dv camcorder instead of a webcam for videoconferencing with my relatives. I found in a video help board that windows media encoder (WME) is the tool to use.

You use WME for a new encoding session, and that let's you grab the video directly from the firewire port. The session sees the video, so everything is fine now.

What I don't know how to do is to send it over the internet so my relatives can see it. We used to do the videoconferencing using netmeeting but the webcam quality suck, so I decied to give it a try to the camcorder. I tried to use the camcorder directly from netmeeting, but I don't get any image even if a select "microsoft dv camera" as source.... 🙁

How can I do it so they can see the video???

Thanks for the help.

Alex
