So my school has these really expensive table covers made of velvet (don't ask why they're velvet) and we got some wax drops on it from candles we had. How do we get the wax off? Scraping obviously didn't work.

I've heard of using ice, and using a warm iron to melt off the wax. Please help me!!

Let it cool. Pick off what you can. Place a paper towel over the stain, then take an Iron on the LOWEST heat that will melt the wax and iron. Once the sheet is saturated grab another and repeat.

18 Grand!?!?!? Are they made of GOLD!?!?!?!

How many did you get wax on? I think the person who told you they cost $18 grand was referring to ALL of the velvet tablecovers - if there were 100+ tablecovers that wouldn't be so crazy, especially if they're custom made or something special.

There were two of em lol... custom-made yes, but 18gees? I doubt it. But if I don't fix it, I'm in a load of trouble.
