Help! how do i get the RC5 client installed on a linux machine??

I dont have a clue how to. I am trying to help crysla out on it. She is running mandrake 7

Sooo can some one shed somelight on me please.

If you're running Mandrake, it's a piece of cake. Open the "Home" icon, and browse over to the folder where you downloaded the tar ball. Right click it, and select "archiver". Then from the menu, select file/extract to. Pick the directory you want it to be in, check the box that says "preserve permissions", and click OK. You're done.

Now, open up a terminal, change directories to where it has been extracted. If logged in as root, type ./dnetc and hit enter. If not as root, it would just be dnetc and enter. From there, it's just like setting it up in Windows.

....then you need to go to your process management viewer, and make sure the "Dang Archiver" program shut down properly.
If it hasn't, Kill it, cuz it'll hog about half your CPU time if it's left running.

I know from my early days at Linux, it's real depressing coming back to see you don't have squat blocks done.
