Just put the computer together and it seems like the motherboard is dead (it's an K7S5A), so I'm returning it to Outpost and they are sending me a new one. (At least I hope that's my problem). But I cannot get the heatsink off the processor/board. I wish they would come out together but I don't think they will. I had a hard time getting the heatsink on...but it seems impossible to get it off. Is there a tool or something I can buy to do this. Also, I guess I will need some thermal glue to reinstall the heat sink and processer in the new board.
Any suggestions on this. This is the first computer I've put together and it's very frustrating. The parts went on fairly easy. The bios came on several times, and everything looked good in the bios, but I could not get it to boot from a Boot Disk (I have 3 different ones). Then it just quit. It powered up but the bio's didn't come on the screen. I'm assuming that is a dead board. I got to get that heatsink and processor off so please help with that.
