At the risk of having this sent to the software forum, how do I get MBM 5 to read the CPU temp? It only seems to pick up the mobo temp.

I know that's the one it's reading because Sandra lists both and the MBM reading matches the mobo temp on Sandra. It has two other sensors but they are both at 0. Epox 8K9A mobo.

Under settings go into Tempuriture, and then for Sensor 1 rrename it to be CPU, and set the sensor to WinBond2, this will measure ur CPU sensor most likly, double check it according to the temp however, and then do the same for sensor 2 for ur chipset temp, only with WinBond1. You can also set alarms and so forth, for more information check http://mbm.livewiredev.com

Ok thx. Let me sneak one more question in here.

All I am really concerned with at the moment until I learn more about stuff is my temps. I'm not OC'ing yet, but when I do I will still really only be paying attention to voltage, cpu speed, and temps. Sandra is still good enough? What is better about MBM, or is it just personal preference? Thx.

Thx.

Sandra is a decent program in some respects, but a joke in others. I think sometimes it decides to just make up its own data or something. Sandra does have a few decent benchmarks and tells you some useful info. The "power" of MBM5 lies in how you can configure it to see voltages and temps and that it is much more reliable in my opinion.

If you stay below 60 degrees C your most likly safe, for OCing in the future it's just a matter of whether it's stable or not, if u dun know what your doing dun overclock till u research it a bit. As far as voltage, dont touch it for default clock, sometimes u can get a decent OC without even havin to raise it, which in turn helps ur CPU stay cooler.
