Help~!!! How do i Backup emails in Outlook Express 6?

i know it is possible but i cannot remember how i did it! there is a way to export all folders and emails to files what is it????

I think it's File -> Folder -> Compact all messages (or Compact). Hope this helps!

not sure if that worked or not as it sad it was compacting but never asked where to put em! anyone?

It keeps the same name of the folder but gives it a weird extension. It's in the hidden Local Settings folder I think. Just do a search for Inbox or Sent Items and it should show up.

The files will be in a folder simlar to this one.....

C:\Documents and Settings\Adam\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{CDBBD94-8051-4FB0-8702-6C56CC6}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Should have Inbox, Trash, Sent, etc. All there, just copy these files to CD or whatever and you are good to go. Hope this helps. -TAL

PS: Gotta have folder settings set to show hidden files and folders....
