HELP! How can I backup my 45GB HDD to a 40GB one?

I need to RMA my 45GB IBM 75GXP to IBM but before I do I want to create a mirror image of it. I have a K7-RAID so I know I can create a mirror but I want to do it with a 40GB 60GXP. My guess is that this won't work becuase the mirror image is smaller than the main HDD even though I only need to backup 2 partitions that together are <40GB. Is there a way to do this, or am I going to have to get a HDD >= 45GB?

Actually IBM's website has a program for its HDD that includes a 'ghosting' program. Best thing is that it's for free, but only works on IBM drives.
