I just recently got a x800pro a couple days ago after replacing a 9800 pro that randomly stopped working. I oc the 9800 pro way too much from people's opinions, so i brought htat upon myself. But my real problem is that i am getting like 20 to 30 fps less during games with teh same settings compared to my 9800 pro. I know that isnt right. However, with the x800pro there is less fluxuation wiht fps, they stay in a more consistant range.

I was thinking that wiht the x800pro it is alot more demanding to my system than my 9800pro was. So i have a feeling that there is a bottle neck in my pc.

My specs are:
P4 2.8 (fsb 133) overclocked too 3.25 (fsb 155)
DDR 266 512MB + 2*126MB overclocked to DDR310
Abit IS7
Antec TruePower 550W

It is not my system temp beause its running at 30C idle and i checked the built in temp senor on the x800 which is at 34C

Someone Please Help!!!!

You probably have driver issues, did you just replace the card or did you go though and clean out the drivers first?

Also, try putting everything at stock and running some standard benchmarks (like 3DMark01/03, Aquamark, etc.). If your results are way out of line, you almost certainly have driver problems.

Hrmm after taking my 9800 pro out of my pc, i did uninstall all teh drivers. The placing the new x800pro in my pc i installed the new catalysis 4.9 from scratch. So there were no previous graphic drives on my computer before putting in the x800pro..

My fps in cs:s
with 9800 pro (420/375) average 75
with x800pro (stock) average 50 to 60

Well cs:s automaticly turns on AA and AF for faster videocards, any chance that is the issue? If not, my next guess would be motherboard drivers.

Also, check vsync settings in game and in drivers; there is no way to get triple buffering in cs:s so vsync can be pretty hard on framerate.

But what about the advanced video settings in the game? If AA is on there it will be on in game. Also, what resolution are you running and what do you get in the stress test?

Everything looks right except the Aquamark score seems a bit low. Im running a 5900XT @ 450 x810 and i get 42000. Why dont you try reinstalling and getting latest M/B chipset drivers and the latest Cat's/
