my amd xp mobile.. i tried running 200x12 @ 1.925v and it gets error within 20 mins of prime95..
i've seen people do higher OC's @ less vcore.. why is this?
could it be my 512pc2700 limiting me?

yea, your ram is way too weak to support 200fsb speeds. also, if you have a cheap psu, then that is also likely the cause. you'll need at least good pc3200 ram and at least good 430W psu, such as the Antecs.

same problem hear I have crappy ram so I'm stuck at 185fsb. I would crank your ram back too 166mhz and find the max stable speed at the FSB.. once you find this. start raising you fsb while lowering the multi to keep the clock the same as the max you found till you get an error because of ram. I'm currently running at 13.5x185 @ 1.85V I'm installing Watercooling this weekend so hopefully I'll be running 14.5x185 @ 2V which I'm able to boot at now just get ways too hot.

I have 2x Corsair Value Select PC2700 512MB single channel. The highest I was able to get out of that was 190 stable 2-2-3-7.
