Help: Having trouble posting in ~~~~I WANNA~~~~~Thread

I wanna post a "looking for request" in the proper place - ie the "IWANNA" thread but it doesnt seem to work for me. I have read all the destructions and advice from experienced postees but dont think its working for me.
When I click on the ~~~I WANNA~~~ thread it opens and then I click on new topic, the message folder opens, I type the message and the POST IN at the the top left says POST IN hotdeals. when I press the post this thread button, the message goes into the hotdeals page. I know this is the wrong area but am not sure how to get it to the ~~~IWANNA~~~ thread. Also, I am not clear on how to link to a site or another thread if needed. Help section in forum is not clear on exactly how to do this. Need step by step instructions for the "FORUMS DUMMY"

Open the thread, pick any of the posts (even the very first one) & click the "Reply" button that's below it.

When in the reply window, just press the &quot;http&quot; or &quot;https&quot; button. In the window/popup/box that opens, type in or paste the url/link you want to include in the message.

That's all there is to it.

If you'd rather type the link out, and still have it linkified, you can do it the long way by typing:

[L = Link (or whatever you want to name the link) ] http://www.link.com [ / L ]

Without the spaces of course.
