I just built my system with an AMD 3000+, Gforce FX 5200 128 MB, 512 MB RAM DDR 333, SB Audigy sound and keep getting save dumped....(Usually, while gaming in SOF2...) Starting to piss me off...I have looked for an answer and in Event Viewer, I see this.....

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf8152fab). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini021604-01.dmp.

Sometimes it's the same string...any ideas as to what may be causeing this and what I can do about it????

What motherboard is it?
Is it a fresh install of WinXP?
I had some similar problems with my system.

It's a Shuttle AK39N Mainboard. XP installed cleanly as far as I could tell. Nothing out of the ordinary outside of the usual fresh install bugs XP Pro throws at ya! lol IE still giving me issues though...I have suspected the RAM, but switched out and still the same thing happens......The dealer I got this system from used Kingston I believe. Should I go back and tell him to gimme a different brand?

Hey thanks for the memory tip..it actually led to resolving the issue! With the Shuttle boards that run Kingston (at least the AK39N maybe others that this occurs....may want to research this out....) changing a couple of bios settings helped out a great deal...I set the DRAM speed to be managed I guess not by AUTO by SPD but to the ULTRA setting and voila! So far no issues. I'll keep lookin at the boards for helpful info I can use!

Thanks again!
