Hi guys i really need help, think i may have just fried my Asus A7N8X Deluxe, Been overclocking my 1600 XP + Palamino for a few weeks now, just upped it to 155 x 10.5 with memory timings at 6 ,3,3 and 2T with frequency at 83% or FSB (summit like 129mhz) Some crappy generic DDR 2700 BTW. Saved all to BIOS before i exited, then i saved and exited and had no reboot, i didnt cold restart because i heard it beggars up teh Bios so it is STILL running and after 15mins still had no reboot, should i just reboot and pray to someone above or just hang on in? Really need help guys cant afford to lose this board. Thanks.

Unfortunately that is true :(

Does your board have any POST LEDs (2 red letters)? If so, what are they saying? Check in the manual for the codes.

2T is a very aggressive timing for RAM, especially if it's generic stuff. Hell, my Samsung PC2700 doesn't like 2T, but is fine at 2.5T. You will have to turn it off, and then either reset the BIOS by moving the Clear CMOS jumper (near the battery on the board), or by pressing and holding the "Insert" while you turn it on. Pressing Insert will cause it to boot with the fail-safe defaults, and hopefully it will boot.

If it does, go into BIOS, and put the RAM timings down, and fingers crossed it will boot.

If not, then you might have something more on your hands :(

The board doesnt have any LED's, works on beeps and a lovely womans voice. Ok so i press reset and then insert and nothing shows (Im seriously Sh!ttin It by this time!) so i turn it off, clear the bios reboot with insert down and finally it works thank god, Thanks so much confused you rock, seriously thought i had a dead bios on my hands and i really cant afford one of those! Guess the memory timings were to tight, my fault running sweet at 7,3,3,2.5 again maybe i will lay off the o/cing for a bit, going to get myself a large scotch now....Thanks to both of you!

Glad you got it working, and you now know the "Insert trick" in case it happens again with setting too aggressive memory timings :)
