Help: Hauppauge PVR-150 and recording from VCR

I have the Hauppauge PVR-150 and want to record a VHS movie. I tried to hook up the VCR to the card and noticed there are no composite/RCA inputs for sound on the back of the card; only a line in. Do I need some sort of adaptor?

Any other suggestions/opinions are welcome
 
No, you just have to jam the connector in there really hard, and duct tape it secure.

Of course you need an adapter! You can get a composite to 1/8" stereo adapter at Radio shack for a few bucks. I do this stuff all the time and I have a vast array of little audio/video adapters for these sorts of purposes. You might want to pick up a few different types for when this happens in the future. They're probably only $3-5 each.

Actually, there is usually a loopback cable that goes from the hauppauge card to the line-in on your sound card... maybe not though. I don't know about the newer ones.

I have a semi-older capture card that you plug your audio into the card, and then there's a little loopback cable that you put from the capture card to the line-in in your sound card. I just left that loopback out of the picture and plugged the source directly into the line-in on the sound card.
 
Thanks for the quick reply. I was suprised that the retail box did not come with any sort of adaptors or loopback cable. Ill head out now to RS
