Help! Half Life Lockup...

Hope you guys can help. I am playing Half Life and I am at the end of the act:"We've got Hostiles" and as I am ascending the elevator half way up the screen goes to a "Loading" screen and it locks up.. I can fire and change weapons but the elevator is stopped and I hear helicopters. My HEV suit starts going down 1 point at a time and then my health until I die, to boot I can not restart from here I have to reboot my PC...Happens Every time with out fail. Any ideas where to start guys?

try moving around in the elevator; if this doesn't work, try going back to a previous save point and re-play the section up to that part.

Tried both of those things. No good. Hell I don't even know where to begin. This pisses me off I finally get around to playing this Great Game and now this...LOL What to Do??

Make sure you are right in he middle of the elevator, then just as it stops, duck and jump. Worked for me. 😉

It worked I am past the locked part....

cool; glad you got it to work. The combination of the moving platform [brush] and the level change is what messes it up. It's a half-life mapping bug.
