Help had to resort to bios defaults!

I was messing with some of my memory setting in bios and messed up my computer. Windows was crashing and finally would not even boot up. The only way I could get my computer to boot was to reset my BIOS default settings. Now windows loads but I can't get on the internet. I'm on my laptop to post this messg. Also I can notice my games are running a little glitchy and games load a little slower.

What did I do and how can I fix it? This comp was running flawless before I messed with it. I thought by resetting the BIOS defaults it would return it back to the way it was before I made changes. Now its a little slower and no internet?

Please help!

Did you build the computer yourself?

If so, just make the same changes you did when your originally built the system. If not, look in the Integrated Peripherals and Onboard crap and make sure you have your Ethernet ports enabled, etc.
